Alex Fatuliaj, co-founder of Simplicity Group, has joined the Cointelegraph Accelerator as a mentor, covering tokenomics, Web3 and go-to-market.
What the Cointelegraph Accelerator is
The Cointelegraph Accelerator combines capital, mentorship and media distribution for Web3 and crypto startups. The structured phase runs for three months, with marketing advisory, one-to-one mentor sessions, workshops and introductions, and is normally followed by a six to twelve month media campaign across Cointelegraph. Strategic support can extend to twenty-four months, tied to the startup's own roadmap milestones rather than a fixed calendar.
There are no upfront fees. Startups participate in exchange for tokens or equity, typically in the range of 1% to 3% depending on valuation. Alongside media, the programme makes introductions to investors, exchanges, market makers and technology partners.
The media component is the part that separates it from a standard accelerator. Cointelegraph reaches an audience that most crypto startups spend their first year trying to buy, and a programme that hands that reach over changes what the founder has to solve. The problem stops being awareness and becomes conversion: whether the product holds the attention once it arrives.
Why the mentor bench matters here
Cointelegraph selects mentors against the problems that stall growth-stage crypto companies: user acquisition, tokenomics, legal, and picking a tech stack that will not need replacing in a year. Alex covers the first two.
Tokenomics is the one founders most often get wrong in a way that cannot be undone. A supply schedule and a vesting cliff are written into contracts and published to investors, and by the time the flaw shows up at the first unlock the options are all bad. Go-to-market decisions can be reversed in a quarter; a badly designed emission curve is a two-year problem.
Alex leads that work at Simplicity Group, where the tokenomics practice covers design, audits and Machinations modelling, and the go-to-market practice runs from ICP definition through to campaign execution.
Applications for the Cointelegraph Accelerator are open, and Simplicity Group is listed among its partners.
