Daniel Malinovski, co-founder of Simplicity Group, joined the BuildStop Roundtable in London.
BuildStop is Superteam UK's co-working space for Solana builders, open every Friday from 10am to 9pm with more than 60 desks in central London. Alongside the desk space it runs workshops on Solana, DeFi and NFTs, and a weekly roundtable where founders bring a live problem to someone who has already solved it. Past roundtables have covered business modelling, hiring, legal structuring, go-to-market and pitching.
What the roundtable format does well
Most conference advice is delivered one-to-many and stays general because it has to. A roundtable inverts that: eight or ten founders in a room, each with a specific question, and enough time to get past the first answer to the reason behind it.
Daniel's session focused on token design and go-to-market, and the same question came up from several directions. Founders wanted to know when a token helps and when it becomes an obligation. The honest answer is that a token adds a second economy to run alongside the business, and unless the token is needed for the product to work, the team ends up spending its scarce attention defending a price chart instead of shipping. Teams that decide this early save themselves a year.
Why Simplicity spends time at Superteam UK
Superteam UK has built the most consistent Solana builder community in the country, running roundtables, dinners and demo days that give early teams somewhere to pitch and get an answer the same week. That density of early-stage founders is where tokenomics and go-to-market questions surface first, well before a team is large enough to hire for either.
Simplicity Group works with funded businesses on go-to-market and token design, and BuildStop is one of the places those conversations start.
